- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2022Flavor Name: Brazil - DarkSize: 16 Ounce (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseIt was with some trepidation that I purchased, after a lengthy search, a coffee online with which I was utterly unfamiliar. The overwhelmingly positive reviews got me to give this brand a try. I purchased Brazil dark roast.
What compelled me to search online was that Trader Joe's discontinued its fine low acid dark roast. I'm one of those folks who loves twice daily coffee, but whose tummy can't tolerate the acid. I join other reviewers in my praise of Coffeeland's product. The whole beans arrived fresh and perfectly roasted. While I'm not a wine snob, I'll agree with the more discriminating reviewers' near poetic descriptions of "cherry" and "nutty," etc. Flavors are deep and nuanced, with a slight sweet aftertaste, in contrast with the slightly bitter aftertaste some coffees leave. I have experienced no gastric reaction to acid., a true plus for me.
I do find this coffee packs a bit of a punch caffeine-wise - which is fine. But you, like myself, might want to reduce slightly the amount per cup, or you might find yourself with a bit of a hand tremble!
Finally, I concur with others that the price makes this fine coffee a real bargain. I heartily recommend Coffeeland's product. I like it so much that I purchased two more pounds.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2023Flavor Name: Guatemala - DarkSize: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseI LOVE Espresso. But over the past 20 years I have drank way too much. I started having stomach issues. My espresso would go right threw me. And give me horrible cramps. My doctor said too much acid in my coffee and my stomach can’t take any more. 10 years of Starbuck iced lattes! I started taking the 14-day Prilosec OTC and after the 2 weeks I could drink espresso again for about 2 weeks. Then problems would return. I finally tried low acid coffee beans in my home espresso machine. I was using a different brand but found it had lots of burnt piece that clogged my machine. Then I found this brand. Love CoffeeLand beans. I can drink 3 shots of espresso twice (2x) a day, every day and NO Problems. I started with the Brazil but now LOVE the flavor of the Guatemala beans the most. I don’t miss Starbucks and $6.56 drinks any more. Works great in my home espresso machine and no burnt pieces or dust. If you know what I mean.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2024Flavor Name: Brazil - DarkSize: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseDid i taste any chocolate or hazelnut notes that were described in the product info? No. Was it a little oily? Yes. Did it still make a damn decent coffee for the price? Absolutely. Especially considering all the sustainability features. My father is a coffee freak and even he thought it made a pretty decent brew.
However it did irritate my acid reflux, I'm thinking from the oiliness but I'm not factoring that I into my rating as it's a health issue. Just throwing it out there for other GERD gang members that the oiliness and acidity might be a bit much for us.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2023Flavor Name: Brazil - DarkSize: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseReview is for the Brazilian single origin. I bought this coffee because I was out of my regular brand and couldn't get it. I am very pleased with this purchase! The aroma is wonderful and the beans have that fresh roasted oily sheen. I use both French press and percolator methods to brew and both yield a rich, flavorful brew. I don't know for certain but I believe this is a low acid roast. I drink my coffee black and have not found any acidity issues so far. I definitely recommend.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2020Flavor Name: Breakfast BlendSize: 32 Ounce (Pack of 1)Verified PurchaseHello. My name is Dave and I am a coffee addict.
Well, that might be a bit of an overstatement but I thoroughly enjoy a good cup, especially in the morning, and only make coffee with freshly ground beans. As with all my other vices my budget seldom rises to match my tastes. These beans are one of the rare exceptions.
The coffee is well balanced with only slight acidity, no notable sourness, and has only a hint of the burnt quality found in Starbucks type roasts. It is a little sweet, with notes of chocolate and has nice body, lightly coating the tongue to prolong the taste. While I enjoy a darker roast later in the day this one lives up to its' designation as a morning blend.
Best of all, the price is right. Also, the 2lb size is just about right for a pot-a-day drinker like me in that it is easier to keep fresh than a 5 pounder and less of a hassle than a single pound.

Amazon does not allow for returns, which I understand, or refunds, which I don't understand. I want my money back, and apparently there's no way to accomplish that. One of the reasons I ordered from Amazon is that returns are so easy. I'm too busy to jump through hoops to try to find someone to return this coffee to. I definitely don't recommend that you buy this coffee!!
