I was excited to receive this grinder, and based on the reviews I thought I would give this a shot. However, upon opening the grinder for its first cleaning, I found a crack as well as a hair inside the grinder. Not sure if this was an item that someone returned previously or if the slight dings and chips are just from shipping, but finding the hair inside the mechanism was a total put off.Also, this grinder seems a bit...lower quality? The metal that makes it up is very thin, almost too light. I feel like it could bend if force is applied. The plastic piece on the handle does not reassure me either. My handle had many little scratches on it, which could be from manufacturing, but I am unsure

    Superior technology and workmanship make this the perfect grinder for personal use, and you will never need to buy another one. If you know espresso, you know you can tell if the grinder is changing its grind, and this one is perfectly consistent, plus it's a snap to use because its cute little coffee holder fits inside the expresso hockey puck thing, you flip it over, and then tamp it in! OK, prior to this you had to turn the crank to get your coffee out. Life is hard.

    Handy little burr grinder but be ready to work for your coffee grounds. It’s not bad if you are grinding for regular brew coffee which makes this great for travel and camping. I got this grinder as an inexpensive way to try out a burr grinder vs a blade grinder for a fine grind for espresso. I think it is a bit too much work to get the espresso fine grind and can clog up the channels on the grinder.

    I still give it a thumbs up for usefulness and being handy.
