I personally don’t drink coffee, but I frequently have guests that do. I only drink tea and until recently, had been relying on my Keurig until it died. I bought this because of its nifty little size. I used it for the first time yesterday, and my guests said it was the perfect cup of coffee! It’s well made, very attractive looking, super easy to use and clean, easy to store, and works like a dream. I bought the smaller one, and it’s perfect for 2 mugs of coffee. I love that my guests can have coffee, and I can just tuck it away in my cabinet for use later. It even comes with a little coffee spoon!

How to Brew a Delicious Cup of Pour Over Coffee:
Step 1
Begin by filling the filter with coarsely ground coffee. For each 4 Oz use 1 rounded tbsp or 1 BODUM scoop (included).
Step 2
Wait 10-15 seconds after the boil has completed before pouring water in. Use a circular motion over the ground coffee until soaked. Slowly pour the remaining hot water into the filter.
Step 3
The Coffee will drip into the borosilicate glass carafe. For the best possible flavor, let it brew for about 4 minutes.
Step 4
After the 4-minute brew is complete, remove the filter from the carafe and you are free to enjoy a delicious cup of Pour Over Coffee.

Love it!!
We absolutely love it! First off the driver actually ran down our long driveway that goes downhill in 4-in snow to deliver it. What an awesome driver, when they could have just driven right by or thrown it at the top of our driveway as others have done. Second, this is really easy to use and I absolutely love it. The coffee came out tasting so much better than it does in that ridiculous drip coffee maker. Poor slow, to no overflow filter. But you will have to stop several times and keep adding more water as it goes down. You need patience for this because it takes quite a bit of time. But the end game is completely worth it. I wanted to show that my hand, as a medium-sized hand woman, is able to get all my fingers on the cork. Another reviewer had complained that she could not but she was not even trying from her picture. Of course it's not going to be perfect for everyone and yes the glass gets hot. To make that perfect cup or more of coffee, your water temperature should be between 195 to 205°. Do not go any higher as your coffee could taste burnt.I have not tried it with a filter yet, but I will. Being somebody who has high LDL it is recommended that we paper filter our coffee as there are kahweal and safestol in coffee beans that can be filtered out with a paper filter. This is true for me because we used to have a coffee grinder pot that did not use paper filters and once I stopped using it at the recommendation from my doctor, my cholesterol went down by 10%.Lastly another reviewer was not sure about the little plastic piece that comes to put in the top to pour your coffee. She was afraid it was going to break the glass. Hot glass is not going to break as easy as cold glass. And if you ever so carefully put it in there like I did you're completely fine. It actually slides in very easy due to the Steam on the glass.

I’ve been wanting a part of a coffee maker for a while now. Finally decided to purchase one for my birthday and so glad I decided on this one. I went back-and-forth here on Amazon searching for the best pour over coffee maker, comparing all the reviews and this one had the best of everything. Just made my 1st cup of coffee, it’s absolutely delicious and I just had to write a review immediately afterward. The Bodum Pour Over CoffeePot is stylish, sturdy, comfortable to hold when hot and cold and it’s super easy to take apart and clean. I had two videos to upload but Amazon only allows one, so trying to include as much info as possible. I used 12oz of water and 2.5 level scoops of coffee for my xl coffee cup. I would suggest grinding your own beans if you have a coffee grinder. I use the prepackaged Gevalia Papua New Guinea coffee which is a fine ground. Took about 5-6 min to brew. Side noting that the coffee will not be too hot by the time brewing has completed due to the length of time it takes for fine grounds to brew. A slightly larger ground coffee bean would work best and would be hotter when finished. I add milk to my coffee, so that does tend to cook it down slightly also. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this pot and the delicious cup of coffee it produced.

Comparing my experience to the other reviewer’s, the Glass is sturdy, it’s not thin at all, so as long as you don’t manhandle it roughly, you should be just fine. The cork is very comfortable in your hand, protecting your hand from the heat of the coffee and it is NOT hot at all to hold. It comes apart easily, simply squeeze the button, gently loosen the leather strap, and it slides right over. The cork pops right off, wash with soapy hot water and dry. Cork pops right back on and stays in place while you use two hands to replace the leather strap and re-tighten in place. Love this pour over coffeepot and highly recommend it. Don’t hesitate, it’s perfect! Two thumbs up!
