- Reviewed in the United States on February 9, 2023This is my first coffee grinder purchase so I don't have a lot to compare it to. So far, working well. I like that there are eight different levels of grind fineness. The construction is glass, metal, ceramic and wood so no plastic, which I appreciate. Feels nice in the hand. When grinding. I can grind about 16 grams of coffee beans in maybe about 4 minutes. I use that time when I'm grinding to read a book or something else, so I don't mind that it takes a bit longer than an electric grinder. Another benefit of a manual grinder is that you can sit outdoors in the sun and take your time grinding and don't have to be locked into the kitchen, it doesn't require power so you could potentially take it camping, and the noise is minimal. The tempered glass basin seems good quality.
Only potential complaint at this time is that there is a bit of a squeak when I turn the handle. I think that's more an issue with the handle/crank itself and not with a grinding mechanism which seems to be doing a relatively good job.
I couple this with a gaggia classic espresso machine and I can get near cafe quality espresso taste and texture from both grind and machine, so overall I think this is a good purchase.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2022This is a simple grinder, I've owned it for about a month. It arrived in perfect condition & it looks great in the coffee corner. My one gripe is that because it grinds horizontally, its a bit awkward to use and can cause the setting to change while vigorously grinding.
This is really more of a simple grinder for espresso or pour overs that happens to look great for the price, than a great grinder that's practical.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2021I just changed from a normal 12 cup coffee maker to a single cup Cuisinart SS-10. I prefer to grind my own fresh beans in the re-usable K-cups. Pre-packaged K-cups only have 9-12 grams of coffee, which is really only enough to make a 6 oz. cup of coffee. With the re-usable cups I can fit about 16 - 17 grams of fresh ground coffee, and make a good 10 oz. cup of coffee. The great thing about this grinder is that the mouth of the jar is a perfect fit to easily pour the ground coffee into the tiny re-usable K-cup filters, without making a mess. It takes about 100 - 110 cranks to grind the full 17 grams of coffee, which fills up the grinding (top) bin completely. They say it will hold 20 grams, but I don't see how you could fit any more than 17 grams in. I use the #5 course setting. If you wanted a really course grind, for french press, I don't think the #6 setting would be quite course enough.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2022It arrived with a scratch on the body, but i thought it's fine since it'd still do the job. At first, it did the job pretty well, could grind a personal coffee within 3min (pour over). The downside is that you cannot grind more than that at a time. You can only put in 2 tbsp of coffee bean to the top and it's full. But after you grind all that, you can put in another 2 tbsp. The bottom glass can hold ~2.5 cups of coffee.
I've used it from time to time for 2 yrs now, i can tell that the scratch is getting bigger and more paint is falling off. And more importantly, it does not grind as fine as when it was new. The coffee came out coarse however I set the precise level. I've never cleaned it simply because I didn't have a proper tool, but it looked like it could never be thoroughly cleaned.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2022My first product came shattered, but they gave me a new one shortly after I returned it. Great for beginners, but bad for pros. At first I loved it because it was beautiful and fits my aesthetic (I know),but soon after, it became a headache and gave me so much frustration!!!
1. If you buy this product you will have to use your fingers to hold down the lid as well as vigorously cranking the beans. (Woot! Pump up the muscles!)
2. It fits about 18g beans (double shot).
3. The copper parts that adjust the grinder side will slip and you will have to pound down the grinder to close it back up. Also, mine eventually broke/loosen and you can’t tell which grinder size it is anymore.
I had this product for about 8 months. It started breaking on me 3 months in.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2020Decided to try grinding my coffee from beans. K-Cups can add up, and I wanted to experience the ritual, and the freshness of grinding my own. I still use my Keurig, but I use one of the My K-Cup REuseable Filters now with the freshly ground coffee.
I chose this grinder because it looks cool, and was........ cheap. When I try new things, I like to start cheap, so that I know if I like it or not. I can always upgrade later if I want to continue this path.
I dont see myself upgrading soon as this grinder works really well. It feels like its high quality, not cheap plastic.
My first try, I ground on the finest setting and it still was coarse enough to not clog my filter. I dont know if it is fine enough for an espresso machine though.
On the finest setting, there was only a small amount of sediment left over after drinking my coffee. I use the #2 setting now and its perfect. (#1 is the finest Espresso setting)
Veterans to grinding may find fault, but I cannot as a noob.
Electric grinders will be MUCH faster, but if you want the RITUAL that goes with making the perfect cup, this grinder is a GREAT start.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 28, 2024It takes a bit of effort, but does work. We use this when traveling to grind our own beans. After many months of daily use, it still works the same as when we bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, looks great
I bought this mainly because I really wanted something that isn't brushed stainless steel, and wow was I impressed.
The actual mechanism is perfect. All grounds are uniform, it doesn't jam, it's easy to turn. Adjustment between levels is so clean and comes with a nice solid click. One downside is it takes a few twists but hey, it comes out perfectly, and very uniform, I'll take that trade off any day.
Filled with the beans I have, on setting 3, it produces the perfect grind and amount for 2-4 cups of coffee on my maker, but you should experiment yourself, which is something I love about this because it really easily lets you experiment yourself.
It looks absolutely perfect, I'd call the color more "retro beige" than "modern cream", as it matched my 70s coffee maker perfectly, and I absolutely love it.
Turns out I struck the jackpot by judging this book by its cover!

- It was terrible. I received a used, unclean product.Reviewed in Singapore on June 29, 2024
1.0 out of 5 stars Used and unclean
Terrible. Received the equipment used and unclean. There was sediment in the grinder and coffee powder in the container.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice even grind size
Grinds constantly sized coffee but it is a bit slow , good quality ceramic dies should last.

5.0 out of 5 stars poor quality control but great customer support
Arrived in poor condition, the black selector wheel is scratched up and pealing all over. As others noted the bean container needs to be held down while grinding. The size is good for portability but the weight is NOT.
Updated: the company proactively reached out to me to make things right. I feel it only fair to update my review as I didn't ask for this and clearly they care about customers. I still have issue with the QA on my item but I can't say that is a general problem, the item seemed fine outside of the cosmetic issues and the customer service exceeds my expectations.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth
It simply does not work well enough most of the time. Takes forever to grind enough for one cup. The metal container part gets loose all the time as well. I tried to return it and instead got stuck in an long loop of AI chat explaining what was not working and eventually got a message from what looked like the manufacturer asking me to make a video of how it was not working to help them in some way.
It cost me a little over $30 and I am not spending another 30 minutes explaining why this total POS is substandard.
Save yourself a bunch of time and buy something different.
