Best bean I have tried!
5 out of 5 stars
Best bean I have tried!
Good value, approx $4.50 @ lb. I needed good taste, no oil, and quick delivery. I got em all with this. With my mochas, I had a tendancy to lose the coffee flavor when all the ingrediants were added. For anyone of my friends who are looking for the best tasting whole bean for a very good price, this is it. It is on Amazon, delivery with prime is one day for us. it is about $4.50 a pound, comes in a 2.2 lb. vaccuum sealed bag. it is the original blend and is medium roast which is EXACTLY what I needed for my Super Auto Espresso machine. No oil at all. totally dry! and taste is the BEST I have found, Equal to Gevalia! No bitterness at all. great for coffee, espresso, lattes and mochas. I use 5 oz of water to a large puck and I taste the smooth coffee thru all the flavor syrup, 3 oz of half n half, frothed and chocolate cocoa! I haven't had any coffee that would do all that! I will be buying this regularly!

Where do I begin. The price of it is absolutely phenomenal at five dollars a pound you can’t beat that deal. When I get coffee at five dollars a pound it’s usually oily crappy dark roast coffee that isn’t good. This coffee is a medium roast or dark roast. It’s a six out of 10 on the roast scale. When you look at the coffee it’s really clean with no young beans Earl beans all the beans are standardized. When you have different colored beans this means the coffee is cheap. This isn’t cheap coffee. Being from the state of New Jersey I’m proud to say this was roasted in my home state and they do a damn good job. This isn’t cheap coffee. Being from the state of New Jersey I’m proud to say this was roasted in my home state and they do a damn good job. This coffee is found in many bagel shops around New Jersey and New York. And I am proud to drink it. I have tried at least 20 coffees on my SAECO Xsmall espresso machine. This machine is supersensitive and if the beans are too oily or dunk rain well even after adjusting the grind. The machine clogs up and then you have to take the whole machine apart. It’s one of the best espresso machines I’ve owned but it’s very selective on the kind of beans you want to use. I’ve tried 20 different brands going from coffee at $40 a pound to my local Winco store that sells five dollar pound of coffee bags which are oily and cheap. Out of all 20 coffees. Only two worked. PYK coffee and EIGNT O’CLOCK. Everything else clogs up the machine either it’s too oily or artificial flavors are added or the coffee is just cheap coffee and sold at a high price. I even used very overpriced $40 a pound Starbucks coffee from Rwanda and it clogged up the entire machine and the espresso tasted like garbage. I even tried a Starbucks blonde roast which is supposed to be a little dryer and it still clogged up the machine. Any Starbucks coffees that I used with clog up the machine and break it and I’ll have to replace parts. But this coffee 8 o’clock. Does the job. It doesn’t clog up the machine. It cooks really well. When the coffee PUCKS come out. They all together and they are in one piece where I can lift them up and feel them. Because of this you can tell the coffee is good. When are you Starbucks coffee or any other brand of the 18 brands I’ve tried The coffee would either break apart in the internal machines mechanism or it would break apart when dumped in the drop drawer. Which tells me the coffee is oily and low quality and it was roasted too high of a temperature and not slow roasted. Which this means the coffee was roasted at a high temperature and all the oil’s were pulled out when roasted meaning you don’t get a lot of caffeine and you get a crappy burnt cup of coffee like Starbucks. Even though this coffee is cheap don’t judge the price. The price is well priced for what you’re getting good quality cup of Joe nothing too crazy. And the people that say taste like mud those are the people that want to drink hazelnut latte is filled with a bunch of sugar and garbage artificial flavors. To describe it it’s a good cup of New Jersey coffee that you would have the bagel and cream cheese and it works amazing my espresso machine I’ve been on the hunt for a good coffee for the last three years and this is the one that really makes the deal. My espresso machine has pull 200 shots of this coffee and not once has a clogged up and not once have I had to replace a single part because of this espresso machines ability to use this great coffee.

I first tried this coffee at a friend’s house and loved it so much that I decided to get it for myself. The flavor is excellent—smooth, balanced, and not overly bitter. It has no burnt or overly acidic aftertaste, which I often find in other medium roasts. It’s just the perfect taste for a great cup of coffee. The beans are fresh and grind well, making it ideal for my morning brew. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys a rich, flavorful coffee that’s easy to drink.

I'm sure this was an oversight on the shippers part but this last one shipped to me about a month ago wasn't sealed. My fiance is blind & wasn't sure if it was supposed to feel loose & thought maybe it was something else from all the things I order from Amazon so he placed it up on the top shelf were we keep our stock rotation. I saw it up there knowing it was the one shipped because I opened the last bag about 2 weeks prior. Not worrying about running out since it's on auto ship. About a week ago I had to pull the new bag out and lost some of the beans as I brought it down & thought maybe hubby pushed it up against something so without any other thought I started to use it, stored it in a food saver container (pulls all the air out of container for longer freshness) after a week trying to figure out why the coffee beans were dry & just not tasting right I checked the shelf to assure to move whatever it was that cut the bag only to find nothing but pouches nothing solid enough to bust the seal. Talked to hubby about my disappointment tasting coffee that's when he told me what he thought when he opened the box weeks earlier. Since we never talk about flavor/freshness disappointments much since we don't run across much of that it was never a second thought in his mind that he should have made it to my attention. So point is to check for seals/punctures personally unless they are aware of what to look for when your shipments come in. Thanks for the many fresh bags before this one. My auto ship notified me that it's time to start looking for my next bag. I'm excited to get fresh coffee beans and finally can put the rest of this up to grind for anting soil come planting season. ☕☕ REALLY CANT WAIT TILL THAT PERFECT TASTE & SMELL AGAIN!!! FROM GRIND TO DEVINE!
8 oClock Coffee is my secret to my young radiant glow person's compliment me on on a daily basis! Thanks 8 oClock Coffee people!

Like most foods, I find it's easy to tell the difference between good and bad, but not so easy to tell the difference between good and great. Too often, the differences are so subtle, that only an expert can detect and articulate the differences. I find this to be quite true with coffee. Since most people bury their coffee flavor with syrups and flavorings, I honestly don't know how most people can detect or care about the differences in the coffee which provides the base to their sugar and fat intake. As for me, I tend to drink coffee with a little half-and-half and sugar. Once cooled, it's quite easy to tell that this coffee does the job. It has a good aroma and brews up nicely. Taste is what I would expect. Good? Great? Excellent? That's really up to you to decide. Budget price but not budget flavor. Since a lot of coffee prices are ridiculously overpriced, I decided to give this company a try. So far, so good. Enjoy.
