Product Description
Produced by 5-axis CNC Machine This manual coffee grinder is produced by 5-axis CNC machine, with small tolerance and high precision, especially the high-precision grinding core and bearings are made in Japan. The coffee powder you grinded is uniform incoarseness , with very little fine powder. Double-bearing center shaft structure, the positioning is more accurate, grinding faster and more labor-saving.This provides a strong for you to make a cup of high-quality coffee. SUS420 Stainless Steel Conical Burr This Burr is made of SUS420 stainless steel, very hard and sharp, can cut coffee beans easily and efficiently. Different sizes and depths of blades successively cut and grind coffee beans in different levels, not extrusion mode. Improve the uniformity of the powder, and reduce the generation of fine powder. The cutting and grinding process will not produce high temperature, and can maintain the original aroma and taste of the coffee beans. The ordinary Burr can't do like this. Fine Adjustment Dial Design With 60 graduations in a full rotate, the grinding core will shift 8.3 microns for one graduation adjustment. Over 6 times full rotate setting to ensure you have 100 Percent accuracy control over the particles that you want. This allows you to adjust the coarseness of your coffee, so you can make any coffee and enjoy the perfect cup of coffee every morning with Turkish Coffee Pot or Moka Pot or Siphon or Machine Drip or Pour Over or Cold Brew or French Press. Easy to clean and Carry Just use the brush, dust blower, soft cloth for cleaning. Do not use water or any detergent to clean. Small size and Lightweight, eary to carry, you can make a cup of fresh, rich and smooth coffee when you want to drink, no matter where you are in.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2021I have a fairly expensive, German-made, electric, burr coffee grinder, but I wanted a manual grinder for our off-grid cabin. This Hurmirs F12 grinder will fill that need, nicely. The body of the grinder is well-machined out of aluminum alloy, and it has a stainless steel burr, so it feels like a quality tool. It has a beautiful, dark hardwood (walnut?) crank handle. It comes in a nice, hard cardboard box with a magnetic clasp, which can double as a travel case. Also included are a cleaning bellows and brush, and a matching aluminum alloy funnel that fits on top of the grinder, to aid in pouring beans in.
Inside, when you unscrew the ground coffee collection cup from the bottom, there is a dial to adjust the fineness or coarseness of the grind. This is where this grinder really shines. With my electric burr grinder, no matter what grind I set it to, I get a variety of grinds, from fine to coarse, with hopefully more of the kind I want. But with this Hurmirs grinder, if I adjust it to a fine grind for espresso, ALL of the coffee comes out finely ground. If I adjust it to a medium grind for, say, drip brewing, ALL of the coffee comes out medium. That makes it a better grinder than my more expensive electric grinder, in my book.
Also, with the electric grinder, it's such a hassle to get it out, set it up, grind, clean it up, and put it away, that I always grind up at least a pound of coffee at a time. But this Hurmirs grinder is so small (about 7” tall, with a 2” diameter barrel) that it will only take up about the same room on the counter as a pepper mill if I just leave it out all the time. I foresee freshly grinding only what I need, one pot at a time. As any coffee lover knows, that will make the coffee much fresher and better tasting.
I'm very happy with my purchase. I might just wind up with a second one, to replace the electric one!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2022Worked great for a month and a half. Then it stopped clicking. Soon after the knob fell off and the spring loaded parts fell out. There are no instructions on parts assembly. It has never worked properly since. The grinder is basically unadjustable for fine grinds. On coarse grinds the knob falls off at the end of the grind. It is past the 30 day return policy. I’m stuck with a piece of junk.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 30, 2021I bought this in hopes that it was a less expensive version of the other similar hand grinders out there. There are a couple of youtube comparos that deal with inexpensive hand grinders, but this brand name was not in any of those two I watched. It appears to have the same 38mm stainless steel conical burr set as many of the others...same Japanese-sourced ball bearings for the grinding shaft. It feels very nice in the hand...the crank is very smooth; it feels like a precision tool. The non-magnetic housing is finished in an attractive satin silver-grey finish. It comes in a nicely fitted box with magnetic closures and a funnel introducer, a brush and blower for cleaning. It does NOT, however have detents for the grind adjustment mechanism. It takes a little fiddling and test grinds in order to determine the desired grind size; but seems to be repeatable adjustments. The reason for only four stars? The grind consistency just doesn't seem to be there. A large amount of fines and pieces that are between the desired size and the fines. I have only a Breville expresso grinder or a Krups blade grinder to compare it to. I would put it just above a well=shaken Krups but below the Breville, which makes it a good value for the price.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2021So there is a lot of static, but you wet the handle of a spoon a stir the beans on each side with the wet handle just before you close it up. The idea is to get about 2 drops or less of water across the beans to cut the static, this won't affect the taste (look it up, not lying). Once static is suppressed, I found this a very well handling grinder, able to go well past what I need in an expresso grind, and it does so with repeatable results, allowing you to dial in just the right resistance in your pucks, and you have a lot of control for the best shots.
UPDATE:
I spent some time dialing it in, trying to achieve a 30 second shot using a Flair Classic with a 10g shot.
What I found was that near the finder end of the grind I was able to get a 15 to 20 second shot, a 50 second shot, and a shot that would start but never finish. So the steps near the expresso grind area were too far apart to achieve dialed-in shots without also varying the amount of beans. So that 20 second grind was close, but this grinder's steps are too far apart. When I pulled a 12g shot it was perfect. So you CAN get the right grind, but not for every ratio. I was doing 10g shots for a reason, and had the testing not failed I would have also tested 7g shots, but really I just need a grinder with more steps or no steps, like the Lido E-T.
Also, when dialing in for expresso grinds, the speed of this grinder really slowed down. This is expected, but it did get realy slow.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2021Worked great initially with a moka pot grind, however the plate that holds the burr was cut into by the pivot screw. This plate needs to rest against the screw to grind the beans but free to move so you can adjust the grind size. This a pretty big design flaw that needs either a better mechanism or material. While it seems like a cheaper version of the more known brands, don't waste your money.
