- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2020If you are single, or if your SO isn't a coffee person, do consider this Mr. Coffee machine. It says it makes up to four cups--but coffee manufactures must be using doll house cups. This makes two, 8-ounce cups, just right for two cups in the morning or a pint travel mug. I had a combination drip maker and Keurig machine thinking to cover all coffee making bases. But I rarely used the Keurig side, and instead made one or two cups at a time. So the first thing this machine did was reclaim a bunch of counter space.
I use a burr grinder (burr grinders are a real boost to coffee) and had to use a 7-second grind for one cup, 12-second for two in my old machine. This guy does the same brew with a 5/10-second grind. Dunno why. maybe Mr. Coffee has a better spray pattern, or maybe it's because in the smaller basket the coffee is thicker. No matter, it's about a 10%+ savings.
It's quick. It brews a pot in the same time as it takes to brew two Keurig pods--the Keurig takes that much time to heat water for the second pod.
It's competitively priced. This model comes plain vanilla or with a clock and timer. I don't have the clock model--happily my day doesn't run by a train schedule anymore. But you will see the price compares with any other 4-cup brewer.
Mr Coffee machines consistently rate high in Consumer Reports reviews. My one complaint with this machine is the lid catch. See the picture I uploaded. This wouldn't be an issue except when the lid is snapped shut, it holds like super glue. Kinda overkill, it's not as if this is a steam latte machine. But it takes two hands to open the lid back up--one to hold the bottom and one to pry open the lid.
I used a nail file to file down the two nib things (or I supposed I could have filed down the bar it fastens on to) and problem solved. Maybe it's just my machine.
So there you have it. Always drink your coffee black. Unless you use cow or sugar. Then always drink your coffee with cow. Or sugar.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2021A great little coffee maker. This coffee maker is great for a single person. The perfect size. It makes your coffee quickly and keeps it hot. It's compact and does not take up a lot of space. It's easily cleaned. Bonus! The booklet for this machine calls for smaller filters. I had a lot of regular coffee filters left for use in my old machine. They fit right into this machine. This is a basic machine. There are no bells and whistles, just a turn on/ turn off button. That was all I needed.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2017I have owned this model for over two years. It's a 20 dollar coffee maker and I didn't expect it to last and perform well this BUT IT HAS. If you make the full pot you do have a bit of a messy brew basket area because it does pump the heated water over the grounds. It does splash abount in there a bit but not so much as to spatter between the lid and the top of the brew basket. I usually don't use more than a 2 coffee scoops and it functions just fine. You will get splash over if you fill it to the very top of its capacity.
Additionally, the plastic parts are just that, plastic, They get heated and eventally do begin to become brittle over time but the first thing to "go' on this model is the pump. As I mentioned,I have used mine daily for two years and the pump siezed up only yesterday. I really can't complain. If you clean this machine regularly and don't treat it roughly, you'll probably be satisfied with the results. At this price point. I have no complaints.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 16, 2024I have several coffee makers and drink coffee all morning. Though this is only a 4 cup maker, I like that the switch is a flip switch. I use it with a smart plug with allows me to start my coffee with the smart app as I crawl out of bed. I prep my coffee before going to bed and by the time I reach the kitchen after getting up, I have a fresh cup waiting on me. I get up at different times of the day so this allows me to have a cup ready by the time I reach the kitchen. Wish this came in a larger cup size and with this same switch. The digital or coffee makers with programmable abilities have switches which do not work with my smart plug. It will turn on the maker (clocks etc) but not the start switch. My second purchase of this one. (damaged it during a move and missed it ever since.).
- Reviewed in the United States on December 11, 2020i read the reviews before i bought this, i had 1 before this along time ago i used it for hot water for tea. it got old and haven't had 1 since i got this 1. for the same reason, the reviews are mixed to say the least to just down right neglect, if you take care of appliances like this because its small it will last a long time its the type you dont use all the time or leave on, also i got the perm and the paper filters i usually keep them from all my machines, just in case its a great fit for any kitchen, even if it went out tomorrow its still worth it , by the way the reason i got the coffee pot (sm) is because at the time we didnt have a microwave( back in the day) its better than useing the stove ( mr coffee is the best even the 1 i bought) still the best,
- Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2020I live in a home of 3 heavy coffee drinkers. We've used this little thing multiple times a day for the past 2 years without a problem. It's simple, one-button, nothing fancy. But it makes coffee. We have an aeropress, french press, espresso machine, etc. We decided to buy a cheap drip coffee maker for ease-of-use. This thing has not disappointed. If you just need a small, basic, cheap coffee maker that works, this is the one. It's the cheapest you can buy.

It’s a cute little coffee maker. I don’t like too many buttons or settings so I like it. A little smaller than I expected but works well for a single person.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very cute. Works great. I love it!
Very happy. Just what I wanted. Cute, fast to brew, very warm. It's 5 stars for me. Little deception: the mr. Coffee inscription and the little dark part on the front are gray, not black as seen on the pictures. Otherwise, it's perfect! Still very happy.
